China's longest cable car passes inspection

The cable car at Xuefeng Mountain in Hunan province, the country's longest, passed inspection earlier this month.

The cable car's line is 7,600 meters long and has a vertical elevation change of 1,158.5 meters. It is the longest alpine cable car in the world.
It has 114 eight-person cabins, with a maximum operating speed of 6 meters per second and a one-way capacity of 1,200 people per hour.
