In response to a media question about the 90-day trade truce agreed by China and the US in May on suspending 24 percentage points of tariffs, expiring tomorrow, whether there would be any official announcement, and whether China had received any notification from the US on the final decision, with China saying the two sides had agreed to extend the truce while the US said President Trump would make the final decision.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday that "I would refer you to competent authorities for the specifics."
We hope the US will work with China to implement the important common understandings reached by the two presidents during the phone call, make good use of the economic and trade consultation mechanism, and work for positive outcomes on the basis of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, Lin said.
