The death toll from a wave of severe weather across China has risen to at least 20, with hundreds injured and dozens still missing as rescue operations continue.
State media reported that 15 people were killed by powerful storms, flooding and tornadoes in the provinces of Hubei and Guangxi. More than 330 people were injured, while about 50,000 residents were evacuated in Guangxi after heavy flooding and the collapse of a reservoir dam.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered authorities to intensify rescue and relief efforts, calling for urgent assistance for those affected.
In a separate incident, a landslide in Gansu Province claimed five lives. Rescue teams are continuing the search for 12 people who remain missing.
Officials are assessing the full extent of the damage as emergency crews work to restore affected communities.
