Ambassador joins influencer, others to celebrate Teacher Fest event in The Bahamas

Over 1,000 teachers from across The Bahamas participated in the Teacher Fest 2026 event hosted by Bahamian influencer Mr. Das Quay on May 3. It featured activities such as dancing, trivia contests, and various interactive games

Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong delivered remarks at the event, introducing China’s fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education. She commended educators for “shaping lives and shaping nations” with their vital role in social progress and the continuation of civilization.

Yan emphasized that China has always attached great importance to educational exchanges and cooperation with The Bahamas, maintaining broad and close ties with educational institutions at all levels, and expressed hope for continued progress in China–Bahamas educational cooperation.

Ambassador Yan’s participation and remarks were warmly welcomed by the teachers in attendance.
