CDB and Chinese ambassador to Barbados discuss financial cooperation

Zheng Bingkai, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Barbados, met with Daniel M. Best, President of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) on September 2. The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening multilateral financial cooperation.

Ambassador Zheng noted that the fundamental principles upheld by the CDB, such as sustainable development, are highly aligned with those of China. He stated that China stands ready to broaden cooperation with the CDB with the aim of making financial cooperation a new highlight of the China-Caribbean comprehensive cooperative partnership.

Best expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its longstanding support to the Caribbean region and voiced his expectation for further elevating bilateral cooperation to a higher level.
