China on Thursday released a new white paper titled “China’s Arms Control, Disarmament, and Nonproliferation in the New Era,” highlighting its role in promoting global peace and security.

The report emphasizes China’s constructive participation in international arms control and its commitment to upholding UN-led frameworks. It outlines the country’s active role in multilateral agreements across nuclear, chemical, and biological fields, stressing that China consistently fulfills its international treaty obligations and contributes to the stability of the global arms control regime.

The white paper also addresses emerging security challenges in outer space, cyberspace, and artificial intelligence, calling for universal participation and stronger representation for developing countries in setting global governance standards.
