China has unveiled a new white paper outlining its vision for a more balanced and inclusive system of global governance.
Issued by the State Council Information Office, the document, titled “More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China’s Principles, Proposals and Actions,” presents Beijing’s approach to addressing global challenges and strengthening international cooperation.
The paper highlights China’s support for multilateralism and its call for a global governance framework based on consultation, shared participation and mutual benefit. It also reiterates President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity.

According to the document, the Global Governance Initiative (GGI), proposed by President Xi in 2025, is intended to help improve international governance mechanisms and provide solutions to issues affecting global peace and development.
The white paper states that the initiative has received backing from a growing number of countries and international organisations and stresses the importance of maintaining the central role of the United Nations in international affairs.
It further argues that cooperation among nations and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter are essential to addressing global challenges and advancing sustainable development.
The publication is divided into five sections examining current global challenges, the objectives of the GGI, China’s contributions to global governance, and proposals for future international cooperation.
