Chinese ambassador and Grenada minister discuss digital transformation

Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada Yang Shu, met with Ron Redhead, Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Transformation on June 12, 2026.

Ambassador Yang congratulated the minister on his new appointment and noted that China and Grenada posses great cooperation potential in training, high-tech enterprise exchanges and project cooperation. He added that China has always attached great importance to digital transformation.

The Chinese Embassy in Grenada says it stands ready to cooperate with the ministry to advance Grenada's digital transformation, boost its economic and social development and improve people's well-being.

Meanwhile, Redhead introduced his ministry’s plans in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data connectivity, satellite communications and digital legislation. He spoke highly of China's technological strength, and said his ministry is willing to conduct exchanges with China to learn from its development experience to accelerate Grenada's digital transformation.
