Chinese ambassador inspects China-funded school project in Dominica

Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, Chu Maoming, on April 1 visited the site of the China-funded Goodwill Secondary School, currently under reconstruction following hurricane damage.
He was joined by Minister of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence, Octavia Alfred, along with senior ministry officials and representatives from the Chinese Embassy.

During the visit, Ambassador Chu received an update on construction progress and commended the project team for their work. He emphasized the need to maintain high standards, ensuring both safety and quality as the project advances, noting its importance to Dominica’s development.
Minister Alfred welcomed China’s continued support in the education sector, expressing appreciation for the assistance and confidence in the project’s progress. She also signaled interest in strengthening cooperation between Dominica and China in education and other areas.
