Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica makes courtesy calls on ministers

This week, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Wang Jinfeng made courtesy calls on various Jamaican ministers of government.
On October 17, 2025, Jinfeng met with Desmond McKenzie, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.
The two sides exchanged views on China-Jamaica relations and cooperation in relevant fields. Marsha Henry-Martin, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, was present.

On 15 October 2025, the ambassador also paid a courtesy call on Dr. Horace Chang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Peace of Jamaica. The two also spoke on China-Jamaica relations and cooperation in various fields.

Additionally, On October 15, 2025, Jinfeng, met with Dr. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness of Jamaica. The two took the opportunity to dialogue on China-Jamaica relations.

Jinfeng also paid a courtesy calls on Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; Matthew Samuda, Minister of Water, Environment and Climate Change and Pearnel Charles Jr., Minister of Labour and Social Security of Jamaica.
