Chinese consul general in Willemstad pays courtesy call on Curacao acting governor

On July 22, 2025, Consul General in Willemstad Zhang Kaibin paid a courtesy call on the Acting Governor of Curacao, Michèle Russel-Capriles. Director of the Cabinet Peter Benschop and Director of Foreign Relations Darryllin van der Veen were present.

Consul General Zhang introduced the achievements of Chinese modernization and opening-up policy. He hoped the two sides would enhance exchanges, explore pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and further consolidate bilateral friendly relations.

Acting Governor Ms. Russel-Capriles welcomed Consul General Zhang to his new post and expressed the willingness to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation, enhance friendship between the two peoples, and promote bilateral relations.
