Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, along with staff from the Chinese Embassy, participated in a NewLO Skills Exhibition on June 25, 2026.

The embassy's chef presented live "Chinese fruit and vegetable carving" and offered free tasting to the public. Local students, residents, and media representatives, attended the event.

At the event site, the air was filled with refreshing fruity scents and the chef demonstrated exquisite knife skills. Honeydew melons were carved into delicate birds, apples into elegant swans, orange peels rolled into splendid golden chalices, and cucumbers shaped into elegant bamboo leaves, drawing continuous admiration from the audience.

Fruit and vegetable carving is a unique expression of “making cuisine into art” in Chinese culinary culture. By participating in the local skills exhibition, the event not only integrated into the local culture but also allowed the people of Grenada to experience the refined elegance of Eastern cuisine through interactive engagement.
