Chinese envoy presents scholarships to outstanding Dominican students

Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Chu Maoming has presented the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship to outstanding graduates during the Dominica State College (DSC) Honours Ceremony for the Class of 2026.

The presentation took place on July 6, where Ambassador Chu joined faculty, students and college officials in recognising the academic achievements of the graduating class.

In his address, Ambassador Chu congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies and commended them for their outstanding academic performance. He also praised Dominica State College for its long-standing commitment to strengthening educational cooperation between China and Dominica.

The ambassador encouraged the graduates to continue building on the strong friendship between the two countries by participating in educational and cultural exchange programmes, noting that young people have an important role to play in deepening bilateral ties.

Acting President of Dominica State College, Christian, along with the scholarship recipients, expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for establishing the scholarship programme, saying it provides meaningful support for students while promoting greater educational cooperation between the two nations.
