Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Dongfeng has officially entered the Guyanese market through local dealer Green Power Solutions Inc., which unveiled five EV models at the recent International Building Expo.
The vehicles, priced between $4.5 million and $9 million, are aimed at offering motorists a more affordable and environmentally friendly transportation option.
Chief Executive Officer Darren Ramdial said Dongfeng, which has more than 55 years of automotive manufacturing experience and exports to over 100 countries, was selected for its reputation for quality, reliability and value. He noted that growing interest in EVs is being driven by motorists looking to reduce fuel costs.

As Dongfeng's authorised dealer in Guyana, Green Power Solutions will provide sales, servicing, genuine replacement parts and certified technical support. Buyers will also benefit from an eight-year battery warranty, a five-year vehicle warranty, two years of free scheduled servicing, and access to EV charging stations at the company's Georgetown and Berbice locations.
Green Power Solutions, known for its renewable energy and solar services, said the addition of Dongfeng EVs expands its commitment to promoting sustainable transportation in Guyana.
