Colour, culture and community spirit were on full display as the Annual Fish & Dragon Festival once again proved to be a resounding success, drawing praise for its vibrant celebration of China–Barbados friendship.

The festival is a collaborative initiative between the Chinese Embassy in Barbados and the Central Bank of Barbados, aimed at promoting cultural exchange, camaraderie and creative talent between the two countries.

Organisers commended coordinator Aja and his team for delivering a well-executed event, noting the strong turnout and enthusiastic participation from patrons. Appreciation was also extended to the many organisations whose continued support has helped the festival grow over the years.

Among those acknowledged were the Association for Barbados-China Friendship, Confucius Institute Barbados, the Chinese Medical Team, and the Barbados-China Returned Scholars Association, along with vendors and contributors who played a key role in the festival’s success.

Organisers said the event continues to highlight the importance of partnership and cultural appreciation, adding that plans are already being looked at for an even bigger and better Fish & Dragon Festival in 2027.

Members of the public who attended are also being invited to share what they enjoyed most from this year’s celebrations.
