The Halo Foundation has donated $30,000 to the Confucius Institute of Antigua and Barbuda (CIAB) to support the Chinese Bridge Summer School, helping Antiguans and Barbudans participate in a two-week cultural exchange in China.

The programme combined Mandarin language classes, cultural performance training and visits to major historical and cultural sites. Participants also completed an internationally recognised beginner-level Chinese language examination.

CIAB Principal Han Wen said the group took part in activities such as lion dancing, tea ceremonies, traditional crafts and Hanfu dress, while visiting landmarks including West Lake, the Zhejiang Provincial Museum and Liangzhu Museum.

Participants described the experience as rewarding and educational, saying it improved their cultural understanding and personal development.

Halo Foundation President Her Excellency Lady Williams, who also heads the Antigua and Barbuda China Friendship Association, said firsthand international experiences provide a deeper understanding of other cultures and help people form informed perspectives.
