Trinidad and Tobago's ambassador and UN coordinator hold discussions

Trinidad and Tobago’s Chinese Ambassador Ren Hongyan met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Trinidad and Tobago Joanna Kazana Wisniowiecki on April 21, 2026.

The two engaged in friendly in-depth bilateral discussions on various topics including opportunities for collaboration. They also spoke on areas where the UN’s development agenda for Caribbean Small Island Developing States  (SIDS) aligns with China’s priorities for partnership with Trinidad and Tobago.  

They both agreed to continue the commitment to multilateralism and sustainable cooperation and to advance common development.
