180 participate in Dominica-China Friendship hiking activity

The Dominica-China Friendship Association (DCFA) held a friendship hiking activity at Cabrits National Park on December 20.
H.E. Ambassador Chu Maoming, Ms Thomas, President of the Dominica-China Friendship Association and some of its members, diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, local Dominicans, overseas Chinese in Dominica, and representatives of Chinese institutions, totaling around 180 people, attended the event.
 

In his speech, Chu Maoming extended a warm welcome to all participants. He emphasized that sports activities serve as a vivid bridge for people-to-people exchanges, commended the DCFA for organizing the joint hiking event for two consecutive years and its contributions to advancing China-Dominica friendship. He expressed the expectation that the DCFA would continue to build a bridge for mutual understanding between the two peoples and facilitate the deepening of two countries’ friendship. 

Thomas thanked the Chinese Embassy and all relevant parties for their support for the DCFA’s activities, stating that the association would continue to organize diverse exchange events to enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples. 
Chu Maoming and Thomas also jointly donated money to local public welfare organizations.
