Chinese Ambassador to Bahamas visits school with Chinese course and provides Scholarship

Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong has praised San Pedro International School for its contribution to Chinese teaching and the spread of Chinese culture in The Bahamas for the past 15 years.

She expressed this during a visit to the Nassau school on May 29th where she also announced the provision of an “Ambassador Scholarship” and a donation of a smart board to the institution.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China’s website, Ambassador Jiarong invited the teachers and students of the school to participate in a summer camp in China, and hopes more Bahamian students would study and visit China.   

According to the website, the teachers and students of the school thanked the Embassy for its long-term support of the school's  Chinese teaching, and the children recited ancient Chinese poetry.
