China International Construction Company (CICC) Assembly Limited has officially launched a series of modular cabin homes in Jamaica, positioning them as a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional housing.
The company, which has operated in Jamaica since 2019, introduced four prefabricated cabin models at its Ferry Pen site in Kingston. The units, spanning 260 to 400 square feet, are priced between $7.8 million and $9 million JMD and are aimed at buyers seeking affordable, sustainable housing solutions.

The launch aligns with national efforts to increase access to affordable homes, with the cabins designed for both private residences and commercial use. Each unit comes with smart-home features, energy-efficient systems, and modern glass designs that bring in abundant natural light. The company claims that the modular homes are up to 20 percent cheaper than traditional concrete homes of similar size and can be delivered fully furnished with utilities installed.

Interest in the units has reportedly come from government officials, private buyers, and developers seeking innovative housing or rental options. CICC has an established footprint in Jamaica, having previously completed commercial and luxury residential projects for major clients including Sagicor, Carreras, and
National Commercial Bank.
The company says its focus remains on delivering technology-driven living spaces suited for Jamaica’s evolving housing needs.
